Creative Resins International

News

September 2008

Glastec, Dusseldorf in October will see the launch of a number of new resin systems and improvements to a number of existing systems. The success of this exhibition two years ago was due to the hard work and support of our long established distributors from Spain, Italy, Ukraine, Holland and Greece as well as our own UK team. The vast array of languages that were spoken by these people together with their product knowledge, derived from years of experience of working with Creative Resin materials, allowed us to converse with virtually anyone who ventured onto our stand and provided the catalyst for such a wonderful exhibition. The same sales team will be re-united again this year.

Day of reckoning hits Glasslam Europe in the pocket.

Creative resins were awarded substantial damages and costs on an indemnity basis in a recent High Court action against Glasslam Europe Ltd and Mr. Stephen Howes.

The action was taken by a consortium that included Creative resins International Ltd following a letter containing defamatory remarks sent to a potential customer by solicitors acting on Glasslams instructions.

The defamatory remarks referred in part to the unique Crystalite Resin Bevel System developed by CRI.

Glasslam Europe Ltd were unable to offer any evidence to substantiate their unfounded claims and at the eleventh hour agreed to settle the matter by offering to pay CRI substantial damages and all of CRI costs. They also gave a full apology in open court.

The High Court also served a worldwide injunction on Mr.Stephen Howes, who failed to attend court, and all of Glasslam Europe employees.

Mr Howes was also ordered to pay substantial damages and all of CRI costs.

Glasslam Europe Ltd have since gone into liquidation.
